Hello!

Hello, and welcome to my Battle Hunter page.

If you are reading this, you might have a few questions, so I'll try to answer them here.

What the heck is Battle Hunter?

It is one of the most obscure freeware space shooter games availabe. Maybe the most obscure, apart from the ones that were only ever played by whoever made them.

It is a game my brother and I played when we were kids. It came on a shovelware CD from a computer magazine, amongst a few other games that I'm unable to find. Recently-ish, one of us asked the other “hey, do you remember Battle Hunter?”, which led to my brother incessantly looking for it on the Internet. I thought it was impossible, but he found it.

Where can I download it?

There is a link to the download page (and also other links you might want to click) at the top of this one. You can also still find it where my brother found it: a site called freegame.cz. I also found it on vector when I was planning this page. I am not sure how long these links will last though.

Who made it?

I wish I knew. All the information available is that it was made by a Japanese guy (?) who goes by m.n.

Why make a page for such an obscure game?

The original home page for Battle Hunter is long gone, which turns this game into abandonware, so I made this page with the objective to preserve this game for as long as I possibly can, even if very few people or no one bothers to download it. I am all for software preservation, and I am doing my (very very small) part on it.

Who are you anyway?

I left this for last because it is not important, but if you really wish to know: I go by the names of QuotePilgrim and SevenSapiens on the Internet, and I have a webcomic called Empty Hallways. This is all you need to know.
